Job summary The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS Service and will be based with local authority colleagues in-reaching to our pupil referral units. This post will be focused on early intervention and ensuring that groups of vulnerable children and young people have access to mental health advice and support. The post holder is responsible for providing mental health assessments and brief psychotherapeutic interventions and assisting in navigating local mental health systems for children and young people who are at risk of/or excluded from education. The role will also involve providing advice, training and consultation to the network of professionals supporting this cohort of young people, their parent (s) / carer (s) and other agencies.The post will provide a close link between CAMHS and education providing smooth transition where needed between mental health service offers.
