Sister/Charge Nurse - Paediatric Planned Care

Band: 6 £37,338 - £44,962 per annum, pro rata if part time
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual, who can work within a small friendly team within our Planned Care Services. We are looking for someone who is extremely passionate about Planned Care and is willing to work towards a changing service.
We run numerous consultant, therapies, nursing and phlebotomy clinics in our dedicated children's outpatient department. A variety of children's clinics run from both paediatricians and other specialties including clinics held by the Tertiary Centre's.

Main duties of the job
As the Sister within Planned Care you will need to facilitate the Outpatient nursing team to provide safe, effective, responsive and quality care in the Outpatient department across a range of specialities. To provide professional leadership including participation in standard setting and work alongside the Matron and senior management team in the delivery of quality care and future transformation of the Outpatient department.
You will need to provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group.
To deliver compassionate person-centred care, and treat patients, service users, their families and their carers with consideration, dignity and the respect you would want for yourself or your family.
To provide relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students.
The post holder must be organised, responsive and flexible in coordinating and leading outpatient clinics and supporting specialist Nursing teams.
