Hays are delighted to be working with a fast-growing business who are predicting high turnover for this financial year; they are looking to add to their finance team with the addition of a French-speaking Credit Controller to help support the wider finance team.
Your new role
Your main duty will provide support to the credit control team to help mitigate risk and debt losses and enhance collection processes, as well as;
1. Manage the collection of outstanding invoices from international customers by direct customer contact and take further action in accordance with credit control procedures (reminder letters, legal action letters etc).
2. Chase Customers for payment of outstanding debts by telephone and email. Update the credit management system with customer contact information.
3. Responsible for the new account application process including carrying out credit checks, obtaining information, propose credit limits within guidelines andmunicate decisions.
4. Review the credit status for customer orders each day as required in accordance with credit control procedures including the review and increase of credit limits.
5. Reconcile, investigate, and resolve customer account invoice queries. Create spreadsheets and management information to assist the resolution of customer account queries when necessary.
6. Suggest improvements to the underlying trading basis of customers to eliminate future invoice queries.
7. Support the credit control and wider finance teams as and when required including the development of procedures and IT systems.
8. At all times consider the overall goals and culture the group provide support and support the Finance team in fulfilling these.
9. Develop relevant knowledge and skills.
10. Take reasonable care of your own, and others health and safety who made be affected by what they do or do not do.
