The Compliance Team is responsible for the development and implementation of the TRA’s Compliance Framework (quality management system); supporting the governance processes to assure operational compliance in our investigations; and to oversee the continuous improvement of operational practices.
This is a new role where there are some clear accountabilities, but it is recognised that the role may develop over time. There is opportunity to use initiative to identify new ways of reporting and communicating the teams’ outputs.
You will be expected to –
Compliance -
* Be responsible for delivering the functions of SLP Secretariat which includes liaising with delivery teams, managing expectations of senior leaders, and looking for smarter ways of working to improve efficiency.
* Oversee the timetable of compliance checks, maintain the Compliance Log to provide a forward look and manage compliance related data. Identify innovative ways of working in this space.
* Evaluate outcomes of compliance checks – horizon scanning potential areas of work, working across various strands to drive improvements and secure Change Board approval; ensure adherence to quality standards.
Continuous improvement –
* Actively take part in internal stakeholder engagement groups and workshops with the key responsibility of identifying and prioritising opportunities for operational improvement.
* Align areas for continuous improvement with the TRA’s strategic direction and output from Lessons Learnt, Casework and QA & Compliance checks.
* Support the Secretariat for Change Board – to manage requests, monitor completion of changes, and communicate the outputs. Ensuring the governance of the Change Board meets the requirements of the terms of reference, identifying improvements in the mechanics of the process where appropriate.
Supporting the Head of Reconsiderations and Compliance and wider team –
* Provide clear and comprehensive recommendations / observations for improvement work and/or risk areas, ensuring effective communication to a high standard is demonstrated at all stages.
* Maintain the SharePoint page; come up with innovative ideas for disseminating information.
* Manage performance reporting for the team.
