Job Vacancy: Site Agent - Civils & Highways Location: Various locations (Northamptonshire primarily, with additional works in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire) Contract Duration: 3 months (Starting January 2025) with the potential for extended work About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Site Agent with a strong background in the Civils and Highways sector to join their team for a 3-month contract starting in January 2025. Work will involve footpath reconstructions, installing highway gullies/manholes/drainage pipe etc) at least 3 months worth of work but the contract its on runs until 2029 so could be long term work for the right person. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and skilled individual to manage and oversee highways civil schemes, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day management of civil engineering and highways schemes. Coordinate site activities, ensuring work is executed efficiently and safely. Supervise on-site teams and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and project specifications. Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers. Provide progress reports and assist with project planning. Monitor and manage site resources and materials. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Agent in the Civils and Highways sector, specifically with highways civil schemes. CSCS Management black card SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme). NRSWA Supervisor qualification. First Aid certification. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations. Desirable: Experience working on public sector highways projects. Previous involvement in managing highway schemes from start to finish
