Job Description Legal Aid Billing Clerk/Costs Draftsman – Stockport The successful applicant ’ s duties will include; · Processing bills prepared by a costs draftsman/preparing bills · Billing Legal Aid, Legal Help and private files · Liaising with counsel and experts regarding disbursements · Making applications and dealing with the Legal Aid Agency · Liaising with partners, fee earners and support staff Skills required; · Previous legal aid billing experience · Competent in the use of Microsoft Office · Previous use of a legal case management system is preferred · A good standard of education and strong verbal and written communication skills · Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines · The ability to work on one ’ s own initiative · The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team
