What you will do:
* Provide strong leadership and supervision to a team of social workers, assistant care managers, and administrative staff.
* Supervise staff, sign off support plans, allocate work, and manage case closures ensuring effective prioritisation.
* Chair professional meetings, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings providing expert case advice and guidance to team members.
* Manage and resolve complaints both formal and informal while fostering relationships with colleagues, carers, and other agencies.
* Represent the department at seminars and strategic meetings, monitor team performance, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Meet with staff regularly to coach, provide direction, and accomplish goals and objectives that align with the organisation’s mission.
* Develop partnerships and work collaboratively to innovate service delivery while preparing reports and analysing data trends.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree in social work or a related field with relevant professional registration as typically required for such roles.
* Extensive experience in adult social care managing complex cases and leading a team of social care professionals.
