Teaching Assistant | Rugby, CV22 | £90-£105 | Long-Term to Permanent | ASAP Start
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs in a supportive and inclusive mainstream school in Rugby.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing tailored support to the pupil to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
* Working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to meet the pupil's needs
* Maintaining accurate records of the pupil's progress and contributing to the development of their Individual Education Plan
* Collaborating with other professionals, such as occupational therapists and speech therapists, to ensure the pupil receives a comprehensive and coordinated service
* Supporting the pupil's emotional and social development, including helping them to develop social skills and manage their behaviour
* Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the development of the school's policies and procedures
* Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies and procedures
* Working in a way that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion, and supports the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
* Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
* Working collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and supportive learning environment
* Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, including adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
* Participating in the school's performance management and appraisal process
* Maintaining accurate records of your work and contributing to the development of the school's policies and procedures
* Participating in the school's quality assurance and improvement processes
* Maintaining a positive and professional attitude, and being a role model for the pupils

**Requirements:**
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant subject, such as childcare or education
* Experience of working with children with ASD and behavioural needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies and procedures
* Ability to work in a way that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion, and supports the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
