A new exciting opportunity has arisen atSomerset County Cricket Club to join our Professional Cricketdepartment. We are looking to recruit a Performance PsychologyLead.
You will provide comprehensive performancepsychology support across Somerset CCC Mens and Womens cricketprogrammes enhancing players mental resilience performance andoverall wellbeing. Youll also provide strategic oversight practicaldelivery and collaborate with coaches support staff and externalpartners to ensure psychological aspects are seamlessly integratedinto all training and developmentprogrammes.
Amongst other essential criteriayoull need to have a current registration with the HCPC as a Sportsand Exercise Psychologist. Youll have extensive experience workingin elite team sport including major tournaments and events andsignificant experience working within a multidisciplinary team anddelivering both group and individual work. You will have experiencedelivering performance psychology and leading initiatives relatedto performance psychology and culture within elite sportingpathways. Alongside this you will have training in psychologyprofiling tools and expertise in brain development and its role inplayer development and evaluation of talent.
Tothrive in this role youll be approachable reflective and empatheticwith the ability to positively influence a variety of stakeholders.You will have excellent communication skills and a collaborativeapproach to working. Youll maintain high professional standards andhave a drive for excellence in everything youdo.
Given the nature of the role any appointmentis subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. If no ECB DBS isalready in place this check will be carried out by theClub.
You will need to be eligible to work in theUK and hold a full UK driving licence.
