Mobile Mechanical Engineer

Salary £35,000 - £40,000
This is a Mobile Mechanical Engineer role for a large manufacturing company who are looking to train somebody to work for their calibration team.
The company will provide a van, tools, and a mobile phone for work use and also provide an excellent training programme for somebody to upskill themselves to work in this role.
The calibration engineer role itself is a door-to-door paid role, meaning you will receive overtime payments for your travel to and from work.
What does the Mobile Mechanical Engineer role involve?
1. Ensure that instruments, gauges, and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings in accordance with manufacturers' and customer requirements (Full training will be given).
2. Maintain and update all calibration-related platforms using the company systems.
3. Provide timely and accurate job reporting in accordance with company calibration policy.
4. Liaise with customers prior to executing the job to ensure full understanding of the nature of the work required.
5. Work with board and on-site compressor systems.
6. There may be the odd requirement of overnight stays within the UK - dependent on job location, duration, and engineer onsite travel and time.
