The successful candidate will work across Tier 2 and Tier 3, providing specialist support to those working with children 0-7 and their families. There will also be a role to develop parental support within Tier 3 CAMHS, covering children up to 18 years of age, where the young person has severe mental health difficulties. The post holder will conduct assessments and consultations, develop working formulations, and will offer appropriate interventions to young children and / or their parents and carers. Additionally they will offer consultation to other agencies who work in the early years field, such as schools and health visitors. They will work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team, and will offer consultation and supervision to their colleagues as appropriate. They would be expected to take opportunities to display leadership in relation to service improvement initiatives, and would also be supported in conducting appropriate audits and research. There will also be an expectation to be involved in the teaching and supervision of trainees on the North Wales Clinical Psychology programme.
