Our client manufactures Speciality Chemicals globally, and they are now looking to recruit an Infrastructure Asset Lead to maintain the integrity and reliability of the Greatham site infrastructure, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, corporate, and site standards and mitigating potential impact on site production capability.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the overall maintenance strategy for all site infrastructure assets. Ensure assets are maintained to appropriate legal and corporate standards to sustain production operations on site.
2. Maintain inspection records and other required documentation on critical items of the infrastructure, including regulatory standards (e.g. Legionella).
3. Identify opportunities for improvement of services, standards, and execution approach for the maintenance strategy to drive performance and/or cost improvement.
4. Support the development and implementation of infrastructure asset life plans.
5. Own and maintain the site Asbestos Register.
6. Ensure compliance with the site maintenance plan for all infrastructure work.
7. Specify the infrastructure maintenance plan targeting >4 weeks lookahead.
8. Ensure contractor services deployed are sufficiently specified upfront, effectively supervised, with performance tracked to ensure efficient delivery of service.
9. Manage the overall site infrastructure annual budget to control costs whilst providing the services required.
10. Support site project work and civil engineering tasks across the whole site, including accommodation, hired-in equipment, and key support tasks for major shutdown events.
11. Liaise with plant area teams to ensure infrastructure maintenance scheduling is aligned to production operations to minimize production risks, including civil assets.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Candidates will hold a minimum HNC qualification in an engineering or industrial related discipline.
2. Hold 5 – 10 years of experience working in a manufacturing or infrastructure management industry.
3. Significant trade and contractor supervisory experience with demonstrated capability to deliver results from a multi-trade contractor team.
4. Experience of Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work systems to safely issue permits to determined level of authority.
5. A background in infrastructure or facilities maintenance would be advantageous.
