What skills and experience we're looking for
De Warenne Academy wishes to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our talented and dedicated team as soon as possible on a permanent basis. As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide supervision of pupil learning within the academy. You will need to respond to questions, generally assist students to undertake set activities and uphold standards of behaviour inthe classroom. In addition to cover needs, you will be required to work alongside teaching and classroom based staff to provide general support for departments. This is a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the academy/school. It is important for you to be ICT literate and competent in using a variety of software packages.

Here at De Warenne Academy we have been on a journey of rapid improvement where pupils continuously make outstanding progress from their KS2 starting points. We gained our OFSTED ‘Good’ status in October 2021 and have continued to thrive since.
We serve the villages of Conisbrough and Denaby Main, situated between Doncaster and Rotherham. We are a small but oversubscribed academy, with over 750 students on roll, and we pride ourselves on knowing our students well and doing our best to ensure everyone fulfils their potential.We benefit from having a recently built academy situated in spacious grounds with excellent facilities including a recently built 3g astroturf pitch. Yet again students, parents and staff were celebrating GCSE results at De Warenne this summer, with the year group having made more progress than any other year group in the history of the academy. The most able students did extremely well, picking up prestigious grade 9s across a range of subjects including maths, English, science, computer science, history, geography and French. Overall, we were delighted with the progress made by our Class of 2023.
