About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our IT infrastructure team. This role is crucial in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and highly available. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Azure services, automation, and cloud networking. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions (including Azure Virtual Desktop), ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to streamline infrastructure provisioning and configuration. Networking & Security: Implement and maintain Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), ExpressRoute, NSGs, VPNs, firewalls, and identity access controls to secure cloud environments. Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Set up monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track system health and performance. Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Design and implement backup, failover, and disaster recovery strategies leveraging Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Backup services. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to cloud governance, cost optimization, and compliance policies within the Azure environment. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud infrastructure, resolving incidents and performing root cause analysis. Required Skills & Experience 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Azure. Strong expertise in Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure SQL, App Services, and Storage Accounts. Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and system administration. Solid networking knowledge, including VPNs, VNet peering, Load Balancers, DNS, and Azure Firewall. Experience with identity & security management, including Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Familiarity with monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Understanding of cloud cost management and FinOps best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400) are highly desirable. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
