Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has opened for an ambitious, dynamic, and enthusiastic Exercise Practitioner to join the Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Team at UCH.
At UCH the Cardiovascular Health Rehabilitation service is in a privileged position to be working from a dedicated centre with clinical rooms, office space and a bespoke rehabilitation gymnasium available 5 days per week.
Main duties of the job
This post has a strong health promotion focus and requires a skilled and motivated clinician with a breadth of experience in patient assessment and exercise prescription across a range of chronic health conditions. The successful candidate will join an existing team and be responsible for supervising and mentoring the Band 5 Exercise Instructors through their career development.
The post holder will be expected to provide support to patients, their carers and members of the Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation staff by contributing to education aiming to raise understanding of Cardiovascular Disease and enable individuals to fully contribute to the management of their medical problems.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
9. BSc in Physiology/Sports Science or equivalent. Or BSc Physiotherapy.
10. Member of the Register of Exercise Professionals ( REP), or other associated body (BASES, BACPR: ACPCIR)
11. Significant relevant post registration experience in same specialty
12. Evidence of Continuous Professional development
13. Demonstrates up to date knowledge and guidelines to support assessment of different patient groups and delivery of exercise intervention.
Desirable
14. Completed/completing Master's Degree

15. Excellent time management skills- ability to manage clinical caseloads with non-clinical priorities.
16. Demonstrates a clear vision of the role and service.
