An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant in the Sister Winifred Laver Centre Team. The position is full time and involves working between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30. Shift patterns involve weekend and bank holiday working to ensure therapy intervention can be provided 7 days a week and 365 days a year.,
* To work within the Multi-disciplinary Team to provide support and appropriate interventions to patients in the Sister Winifred Laver Centre to be able to improve their health and maximum level of independence.
* To work closely with the nursing, physiotherapist and occupational therapist to support programmes of rehabilitation and health promotion to help the patient return to their own environment, thereby reducing the need for hospital admission/ attendance and the need for long-term care
* To ensure optimum nutrition and hydration of patients by supporting patients to eat and drink and maintaining appropriate records.
* To undertake observations and diagnostic tests and support clinical care of patients by undertaking simple dressings and skin care as directed by the patients named nurse as appropriate.
* To ensure that the highest level of patient care is achieved at all times in the most effective manner
