Other duties include: Able to communicate imaging procedures empathetically to gain verbal consent and co-operation from a variety of patients including those from different cultural backgrounds, those with learning difficulties, paediatric, the elderly and infirm and traumatised patients. Communicates effectively with a wide range of service users including patients, carers and other healthcare professionals to provide high quality patient care and use of resources. To ensure that both patient care and the patient welfare are kept to the highest standard. To use the Radiology computer system for input and retrieval of patient details. To record all equipment faults and arrange for the service engineers to attend and repair any faults as soon as possible.
