Are you an experienced PMLD Learning Support Assistant looking for a new challenge?
Aspire People are currently seeking devoted PMLD/SLD specialist support staff for an amazing Special Needs Secondary School in Oldbury.
The school requires Learning Support Assistants to fully engage with their children and young people to develop and nurture positive relationships. This will be working on a 1-1 or small groups basis and you will be a source of support for pupils, ensuring they are motivated, happy and engaged. Being able to form positive relationships with both staff and pupils is imperative as you will have to work closely as a team. All children have an EHCP in place to support their learning needs.
To be successful in this role you will need a calm and empathetic nature, a resilient personality and be able to use your own initiative; health and safety procedures and the welfare of the children are paramount.
Previous experience is advantageous, as the role will require patience and a high level of understanding to support the complex needs of these children. However, if you have a passion and desire to help and support children with additional needs, but no experience, we are happy to consider your application on an individual basis.
