About the job role:
The successful Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management & safety of their team, building, equipment, and premises, which includes task and people management, budget control, maintenance, and service delivery.
As Maintenance Manager, your role will be central to ensuring the efficiency and dependability of the site's facilities & operations. This role demands a high level of managerial capability, creativity, resourcefulness, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills, leadership, and organisational abilities.
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per year, plus overtime
Highly competitive salary on offer negotiable depending upon experience.
Hours:
The successful Maintenance Manager will be working 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 7 am to 11 am on Saturdays. Please be advised, some flexibility will be required - you may be called upon outside of operational hours for emergencies and/or repairs.
Key duties required:
1. Working pro-actively and efficiently to ensure the facilities, equipment, and premises are safe & serviceable at all times.
2. Managing a small team to ensure all planned maintenance and breakdowns are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
3. Reviewing team’s working practices, covering fault finding, diagnostic, reactive, and scheduled maintenance across all sites.
4. Carrying out planned & preventative maintenance of machinery & equipment.
5. Ensuring projects & repairs are completed quickly, efficiently & to budget.
6. Following process documentation and company guidelines.
7. Administering & managing all equipment and systems maintenance & service contracts.
8. Daily, weekly, and monthly inspection checks to be undertaken of the equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and production schedules.
9. Monitoring all health and safety aspects of the machinery and equipment in coordination with the health and safety manager.
10. Purchasing materials and parts as quickly and economically as possible, whilst working within budget allowances.
11. Coordinating and managing your small team, including sickness, annual leave, reviews, appraisal meetings, and one-to-ones.
12. Carrying out physically demanding duties, such as plant equipment, vehicles, and machinery repairs.
13. Coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operation.
14. Handling emergency situations promptly and efficiently.
15. Coordinating and planning various installations and required maintenance.
16. Carrying out planned maintenance tasks, including analysis and forecasting.
17. Working as part of a team and mucking in as required.
Key Skills required:
1. Proven track record in a maintenance management or a closely related role.
2. Previous heavy plant, mechanical & electric experience (Essential).
3. Experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery (Essential).
4. Excellent welding skills (Essential).
5. Background in vehicle maintenance (Preferred, but not essential).
6. Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
7. Able to handle emergencies and stressful situations calmly, confidently, and effectively.
8. Evidence of managing a team and coordinating workloads.
9. Able to work on own initiative.
10. Highly organised and methodical.
11. Great attention to detail.
12. Excellent communicator, critical thinker & problem solver.
13. Flexibility to work additional hours as and when required.
14. Demonstrated ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
15. Able to work to the highest standards.
16. Flexible, can-do attitude, and happy to undertake other duties as and when required.
17. Team player, who works well with colleagues and management team alike.

What we can offer you:
1. £50,000 to £55,000 per year negotiable depending upon experience.
