Senior Analysis Engineer / Senior Stress Engineer
As a Senior Analysis Engineer / Senior Stress Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Group Leader, working on aerospace/aircraft component and system-level engineering analysis solutions within an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to meet agreed timelines for deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize FE tools (e.g., ABAQUS) competently.
2. Perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis.
3. Interface with Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.
4. Participate in audit reviews and present information as requested.
5. Engage in product validation.
6. Liaise with external suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and other industrial organisations.
7. Identify analysis solutions and recommend improvements or alternative methods.
8. Review drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs.
9. Comply with industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements.
10. Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
2. Good working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes for mechanical systems.
3. Understanding of different engineering functions.
4. Experience with recognised FEA and fatigue software tools.
5. Experience with Nastran, Patran, Hand Calcs, etc.
6. Proficiency in static and fatigue structural analysis methods.
7. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
8. Experience with aerospace materials engineering properties.
9. Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
10. Experience in an IPT environment.
11. Strong communication skills.
