This role will support early diagnostics and treatment pathways for patients with skin cancer. The successful applicant support the CNS's and wider multi disciplinary team in delivering high standard of support for our patients. They will be expected to liaise with GP's, co-ordinate diagnostic tests and communication with local and regional Cancer MDT's This is predominantly an administrative role however we welcome Registered Nurse Associates to apply with potential to expand and develop the role in the future Main duties of the job To communicate regularly with patients to ensure that they are aware of upcoming dermatology-plastic combined appointments, diagnostic tests/investigations and operations dates and offer practical support with the arrangementsand provide consistent planned follow-up to reinforce and further promote this information. In conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) provide coordination of high-quality patient care through ongoing telephonic interactions with patients and proactive identification of needs such as WHO performance status, hospitalisation within this trust or other trusts, pregnancy, language barriers and arranging language interpreter during clinics to improve patient experience.
