To help achieve this vision, we are recruiting for a professional, self-motivated and experienced registered nurse to join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing team as an Occupational Health Nurse. This role reports to the Clinical Nurse Lead and you will work at our brand-new Occupational Health and Wellbeing centre on Pride Park in Derby.
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to contribute to the provision of outstanding Occupational Health services and employee wellbeing support, undertaking medical assessments in-line with clinical and railway industry standards.
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Providing the business with sound, evidence-based clinical guidance, liaising closely with employees, managers and HR colleagues, contributing to case conferences where required.
2. Assisting in the development and delivery of a business-wide health and wellbeing outreach programme, positioning wellbeing support at the heart of employee experience.
3. Deliver fitness-to-work medical assessments at our Occupational Health Centre, in-line with railway industry standards and requirements. This includes ancillary medical checks (ECGs, eyesight, audiometry, spirometry) as required.
4. Carrying out pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
5. Undertake management referral clinics providing robust advice to managers which assist attendance within the business, signposting to counselling services, and/or referrals to further professional services as required.
6. Support projects that contribute to EMR’s Health Safety and Wellbeing plan.
Qualifications and Experience:
You must be an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to apply for this position. An Occupational Health qualification (part 3) is desirable but not essential; the successful candidate must have a commitment to working to achieve this within an agreed time frame if they do not hold it already.

We are open-minded to applications from people who wish to consider part-time working, with a minimum of 22.5 hours. The clinic runs from 08:00hrs to 16:00hrs and you will be required to work primarily onsite. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need.
