Job summary As a Smoking Cessation Practitioner within the service you will be responsible for providing intensive behavioural support and advice to clients who want to stop smoking. Main duties of the job This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Smoking Cessation Practitioner to be part of the integrated smoking cessation service in the BCUHB area. You will positively influence smokers who want support to quit. As a Smoking Cessation Practitioner within the service you will be responsible for providing intensive behavioural support and advice to clients who want to stop smoking. You will work effectively with other clinical staff and the wider HMQ team to ensure patients receive pharmacotherapy to support their quit attempt. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with clients to make positive behaviour change. You will also have excellent organisational skills and be able to keep accurate, confidential client records. We are looking for someone who is willing to work flexibly and help shape development of the service. Further specific training in smoking cessation will be provided if required. This role is part-time working mainly within the HMQ in Hospital team in Ysbyty Gwynedd.
