Job summary
We are looking for exceptional people to join our ESNEFT Clinical Systems Team as a Clinical Applications Analyst for our Epic EPR Clin Doc Module.
ESNEFT has identified Epic as their supplier in delivering a new Electronic Patient Record system. The opportunity to develop our processes & clinical pathways using the best-in-class EPR offers ESNEFT the platform to strive for excellence in all areas of healthcare across all roles. Our Epic EPR will benefit all clinical & operational areas, aligning to our Trust strategy to support harmonisation of services & patient pathways across the Trust.
You will play a key role in providing guidance & input into the design & configuration of the system to enhance the patient & end user experience & will be required to undertake a certification in the relevant Epic application module. You will support the Clinical Application teams to deliver an effective & efficient service & assist users in configuring the system based on their needs. Your responsibilities will include providing cover for other CAA's as required, assisting with application testing, providing advice & guidance on the usage of your designated application. You will work as part of a team of dedicated Clinical Systems professionals.

Main duties of the job
* You will be responsible for the maintenance and support of Clinical IT systems and associated documentation.
* Assist with the development and maintenance of appropriate policies and strategies to ensure the effective use of the designated system(s) for which you are responsible.
* You will provide advice and guidance on specific issues including: system usage, proposed improvements, training, & interfaces to other Trust systems.
* You will provide other ICT Teams with advice and guidance on the usage of the designated system(s) for which you are responsible including proof-reading and verifying training.
* You will respond to and resolve support calls raised on the ICT Service Desk.
Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only.
You will be based at an ESNEFT site in either Ipswich or Colchester and will be expected to travel to all Trust sites as & when required. There will be an expectation staff attend designated locations on regular days to work alongside the supplier and other teams delivering the platform. You will be required to liaise with Epic representatives and participate in relevant Epic training & achieve certification.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* Educated to a minimum grade C - GCSE or equivalent NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
Desirable
* Equivalent experience in an Enterprise EPR Clinical Analyst post.
Experience
Essential
* A thorough knowledge and experience of working with administrative computer systems.
* Exposure to a Healthcare setting or workflow e.g. Outpatients, Medical Records, Emergency department.
* Proven experience in a hospital environment with experience of Trust wide IT systems e.g. Lorenzo, CareFlow, Evolve.
Desirable
* Patient Administration System Management experience.
* Epic Clinical Analyst or Trainer.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
* A clear understanding of hospital operational and/or clinical processes.
* Good communication skills written/verbal.
* Critical Analysis Skills.
