Position Overview
St Andrew’s Healthcare Security Department is looking to recruit a Receptionist to work within the Northamptonshire site. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to take control of difficult situations in a professional manner. You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, be smart and presentable, and work well in a team.
You will be the face of the hospital and be stationed in the reception meeting and greeting all visitors to the site, as well as controlling access for all staff. Access control will also involve taking charge of issuing keys and alarms as well as several remote intercom systems. You will also be responsible for the operation of the local switchboard system and for the prompt communication of emergency incidents.
The ability to work under pressure is essential. You will be required to multitask throughout the day, to cover all reception duties and provide a professional and effective switchboard/reception service. Additional duties include post sorting, general administration duties including typing and collating of reports, photocopying, and laminating.
Salary and Location
Salary: £23,879 per annum

Food Servery Assistant Responsibilities
You will be required to work on the wards and within the Patient Meal Service kitchen with appropriate guidelines. You will be required to serve and deliver all food and beverage requirements to patients on the ward, load & deliver trolleys, and perform associated cleaning duties. We would expect you to have excellent organisational and communication skills and work well under pressure whilst delivering excellent customer care to our patients.
* To ensure that at the end of every meal and beverage service that all cutlery, crockery, and condiments are removed from the patient area and correctly stored, disposed of, or stacked ready for washing.
* To wash equipment/utensils used in the preparation, regeneration, and serving of food and beverages (some items are to be returned to the main catering department).
* To maintain the ward kitchen hygiene standards, ensuring it is clean and tidy at all times. To ensure good practice in relation to stock rotation and the discarding of out-of-date food.
* Management of ordering and receipt of ward stock supplies.
* To monitor and record fridge temperatures daily in accordance with food safety regulations and report problems as appropriate.
* To ensure refrigerated food is labelled and stored correctly as per procedure.
* Ensure all patients' meals are accurate and served in a timely manner.
