Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer. They are looking for an Assembly Operative / Production Assembler to work in their busy factory. This is a permanent role (after the usual 3 months probation).
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: PLEASE READ FIRST:
* You must be fit and able, as this job can sometimes be physically demanding, including heavy lifting, building large metal products, and working on your feet for long periods of time.
* Previous experience in an Assembly role in a manufacturing / production / factory / engineering environment.
* You must have experience of using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
* You can commit to a weekly rotating shift pattern (shown below)
Salary:
* £12.87 per hour (£12.01 per hour + £0.85 shift allowance) + Overtime
Shift pattern (Early & Late, rotating weekly):
* 5.45am - 2.15pm Monday – Thursday, 5.45am - 1.15pm Friday
* 2.00pm - 10.30pm Monday – Thursday, 1.00pm - 8.30pm Friday
Duties and Responsibilities:
• To position, align and fit manufactured / purchased parts to form complete units or sub-units.
• To following engineering assembly drawings.
• To follow quality specifications of build programme.
• Utilising basic hand tools including drills, grinders, clamps, cutting tools and rivet guns.
• To verify product and build dimensional conformance to engineering drawings using squares, rulers, and measuring equipment.
• To clean all units / subunits prior to packing and despatch.
• Any other duties as reasonable requested by management.
