About the role:
The Research Engagement Services (RES) team provides world-class service by engaging directly with clients, prospects, and vendors to coordinate requests with Gartner Research & Advisory Experts. Successful individuals demonstrate a passion for client service, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn with a high degree of ambition and drive. In the role of RES Manager, you will be responsible for the people, process, and technology required to manage and coordinate all the functional support areas within RES.
What you will do:
* Overall accountability for team(s) output. Manage the workload of associates to ensure needs of internal and external clients are met in a timely manner and daily service level targets are attained.
* Manage, mentor, and motivate associates through individual development, performance management, and daily training to achieve the goals of Gartner and the associates.
* Clear understanding of Gartner’s business model, in particular GS&D, and how they are organised in order to maximise collaboration and drive the right behaviours.
* Clear understanding of RES service tools, applications, and processes along with the ability to discuss and articulate these to other business units.
* Act as a point of contact whenever an issue or escalation should arise with an internal or external client.
* Lead and manage ongoing projects that touch multiple functions, systems, and business units to a successful conclusion.
* Identify and cultivate up-and-coming talent across the organization to create a strong leadership team.
* Recognize potential impacts to the business before they occur and take proactive measures to ensure business continuity.
What you will need:
* Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant fields from an institute of repute, MBA preferred.
* Minimum 8+ years of client service and management experience with 3–4 years in direct people management.
* Strong experience in driving operational excellence & process management.
* Good understanding and knowledge of the IT industry.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to problem solve and bring timely resolution to escalations.
* Process-driven, methodical, and pays strong attention to detail.
