This Role is Remote with Nationwide Travel So Applications Can Be Based Anywhere In The Country\nRole Purpose\nOur client has an exciting opportunity, they are recruiting a Head of Skills to lead on their work within the training and education sector.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork with key stakeholders, industry bodies, and employers to assess workforce skills needs and develop strategic initiatives.\nRetain and grow membership within relevant training and skills partnerships.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to review the vision and mission of skills partnerships, ensuring alignment with member needs through direct engagement.\nEngage with members to maximize the value of their membership and identify opportunities for new initiatives.\nDevelop strategies to attract new members and expand engagement.\nWork closely with marketing, research, and standard-setting teams to ensure the effective delivery of training and skills-related activities.\nServe as the internal expert on skills development and industry requirements.\nOversee the delivery of funded programmes supporting workforce development and employer training needs.\nRole Requirements\nStrong understanding of the skills landscape, technical education, and training pathways.\nExperience in workforce development and employer-led skills initiatives.\nCommercially oriented with a strong customer focus and an understanding of value propositions.\nExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong employer relationships and facilitate partnerships.\nAbility to engage and lead discussions with senior stakeholders.\nStrategic mindset with problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.\nHigh levels of energy, drive, and enthusiasm.\nExperience operating at a senior level with a strong understanding of strategic partnerships.\nCollaborative approach, setting clear goals and plans with colleagues and external partners.\nBENEFITS:\nCar Allowance £6,351 per annum\nFull-time role with hybrid working\nPension – employer contribution 6%\nLife Assurance\n28 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (FTE)\nBirthday off work\nOpportunity to buy-back 5 extra days annual leave (FTE)\nOptional Private Health Care package\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nBonus Scheme\nAspire Values Award Scheme\nAnnual Values Awards\nLong Service Awards\nAnnual Company Events\nGym Discount\nAccess to Training & Development Opportunities\nNational Skills Agency Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy and is an Equal Opportunities employer.
