The Wakefield site produces just under half of GB’s volume across their 8 manufacturing, and 2 preform lines. The site can produce 672,000 cans an hour and 132,000 bottles an hour. What to expect: As part of the Short Term Planning Team, you will work alongside a dedicated team of planners who are responsible for ensuring all site planning processes are completed and resources required to support production are available. In a fast-paced and fast-changing environment you will work cross-functionally to manage the flow of information & materials that are necessary to deliver the plan efficiently and satisfy our customers. All production planners take on the responsibility of the day to day running of the department to ensure all tasks are completed in full each day. With a supportive team around you, you can expect to be challenged daily, providing ample opportunity to learn and develop both professionally and personally. Supporting the delivery of key projects and Continuous Improvement programmes. Sharing best practices with other team members and colleagues to improve line utilization, yield, quality and CRS targets. Skills & Essentials: Prior experience in a fast-paced high-volume supply chain operation Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems and processes (SAP-APO, SAP-IBP knowledge an advantage) Ability to maintain and make sound, timely decisions, without losing sight of the bigger picture A natural networker, building and sustaining a range of working relationships across multiple functions and levels with ease Great organisation skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to make critical decisions within a fast-paced environment. A pro-active, flexible team player and with several years’ experience in two or more supply chain functions, ideally within an FMCG industry Highly organised with good attention to detail Good communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders within the business Must be highly process driven with the tenacity to problem solve and deliver key messages through facts and data Strong understanding of inventory management systems The closing date for applications is 24/04/25.
