Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive, commercially driven Buying Manager to lead supplier sourcing and category expansion for our client. This role focuses on sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management to build a strong supplier base, enhance margins, and support growth through strategic negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier Sourcing & Category Expansion
* Identify and onboard suppliers to expand ingredient coverage with competitive pricing and quality.
* Develop sourcing strategies and build a diverse supplier pipeline.
* Negotiate pricing, payment, and delivery terms.
1. Supplier Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues proactively.
* Ensure compliance with certifications and standards.
1. Order & Supply Chain Management
* Oversee order fulfillment and manage logistics challenges.
* Address supply chain risks and keep platform activities updated.
1. Commercial Growth
* Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive cost savings and category growth.
* Use buyer feedback to refine sourcing strategies and improve performance.
Success Metrics
* New suppliers onboarded.
* Cost savings and OTIF delivery rates.
* Buyer and supplier retention.
Requirements
* Experience in sourcing, procurement, or buying roles.
* Knowledge of industry certifications and compliance standards.
* Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
