Working as the CAD Technician / Draftsperson you will prepare installation drawings for projects and tenders. As the CAD Technician / Draftsperson this will involve preparing 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans and schematics based on project specifications. As a successful candidate you’ll join a company that offers an extensive training and development program which will commence after you complete your probationary period. DUTIES Your duties as the CAD Technician / Draftsperson include: Preparation of factual reports and installation drawings: Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on project specifications Collaborate with project engineers and project managers to interpret and translate technical instructions into detailed drawings Revise existing CAD drawings to incorporate design changes or feedback Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with industry standards, including scaling, dimensions, and notation Maintain records and documentation for project drawings and revisions CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Excellent verbal, interpersonal skills, and written communication skills Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in drawings Resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to work unsupervised It is advantageous to have a familiarity with design standards and regulations BENEFITS 25 days holiday per annum increasing with service.
