Quality Improvement Officer - Case file Audits and Safeguarding

Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476
Working 36.5 hours per week
We are delighted to provide an exciting opportunity for staff across Birmingham City Council. The role of Quality Improvement Officer will require the successful applicant to undertake audits of social work practice, create learning resources, and be involved in establishing and carrying out quality assurance activity for the department. Audits are a key driver in supporting service reform and quality assurance.
Key focus of the role:
1. Working closely with the Principal Social Worker and the Deputy Principal Social Worker.
2. Carrying out audits of practice.
3. Creating resources to support the working of the Quality Assurance Framework.
4. Creating learning resources and organizing learning events.
The successful candidates will be required to support the CQC inspection.
Considerations for applicant:
* You will need a Social Work Qualification and be registered with SWE.
* An excellent understanding of quality social work practice and how we assure this.
* Ability to work in a timely manner and get reports completed on time.
* An excellent knowledge of the prevention agenda, the importance of data and quality for Social Work; and knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the Principal Social Worker.
Education, Skills and Qualities required:
* Considerable experience of working in the social care sector.
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Appropriate Social Work qualification.
* Ability to work collaboratively with others.
* Demonstrate a commitment to citizens and their carers.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Examples of demonstrating dignity and respect within work.
* Ability to work alongside partnership agencies.
* Knowledge of 3 Conversations and its working principles.
* Ability to recognize excellent standards in case files.
* Ability to prioritize workloads whilst working with competing demands.
