Career Development: You will start in Devices Product Development and this role will move into development in embedded and electronics.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Support Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team to provide second- and third-line technical support to our customers (major water utilities) using our industry-leading edge remote telemetry sensors and loggers.
This is a customer-focused role requiring a strong technical background, customer-facing communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving complex technical issues and working closely with the development team to enhance product reliability and performance.

Principal Accountabilities
1. Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support for products, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
2. Investigate and resolve technical issues through analysis of product logs, configuration files and provide clear reporting to engineering teams where necessary.
3. Deliver customer service to customers, driving customer satisfaction and delivering to SLAs.
4. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's embedded products, including hardware, firmware, and software.
5. Contribute to user documentation, including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
6. Escalate complex issues to the engineering team when necessary and work together to resolve them.
Education/Experience:
1. Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
2. Customer-facing skillset managing internal & external stakeholders.
3. Experience of working with industrial embedded devices and sensors.
4. Electronics hardware knowledge is essential.
5. Wireless cellular communications i.e. GPRS, 3G, NB-IoT, LTE-M.
6. Experience of industrial protocols e.g. DNP3, Modbus, SDI-12.
7. Experience of using data analytics to understand and solve problems.
8. Experience with firmware/software development.
9. Technical background in telemetry or equivalent i.e. Teleco, IT Networks.
