AVD / Citrix Engineer
Hybrid working, with 2 days a week on site in Gloucestershire, London or Manchester.
£525 a day inside IR35
The successful candiate will be required to go through DV clearance before beginning cotnract.
Guidant Global are looking for a Windows Azure Virtual Desktop engineer and / or Citrix engineer to join our client's engineering team. The team is responsible for the support, innovation, design and transformation of the remote desktop service, cloud and SAAS services.
Most important is a problem-solving mentality and a desire to use your skills and mentor your team with an inquisitive mind.
Key responsibilities:
· Assessment and Development: Evaluate organisational needs and pioneer the development of technical solutions.
· Training and Evaluation: Identify and assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient device management across the department.
Reviewing existing content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with Windows best practices
Required Technical skills:
· Strong experience of VDI solutions, preferably Azure Virtual Desktop with Nerdio tooling and / or Citrix
· Strong experience of Azure cloud, particularly Entra, Networking, Azure Firewall, DNS.
· Knowledge and experience of CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps.
· Experience in deployment of cloud infrastructure through IaC, preferably terraform.
· Strong scripting knowledge and experience, especially PowerShell.
· Knowledge of Intune MDM, particularly configuration profiles.
· Experience with RSAT tooling, particularly Active Directory and GPO.
· Troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
Desirable skills:
· Ability to write architecture and design documentation.
· Experience of application deployment and package management solutions.
