We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential support to children with additional needs, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
* Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
* Foster independence and confidence in learners.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student progress.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience is desirable).
* A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification (desirable but not essential).
* Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other SEN strategies (a plus).
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
