The Role
We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist to play an important role in our strategic operational procurement team. In this exciting position, you will manage essential master data within our ERP system, support category managers in sourcing initiatives, and ensure the highest quality standards are met through effective collaboration with various departments. Your Responsibilities
* Manage master data: price and quality info-records in the ERP, categorization for powerBI, SCRM maintenance, etc.
* Support the CM with sourcing: from running RFQs and RFPs to entering contracts in the systems, send them to the suppliers, and get them signed back.
* Manage quality complaints: liaising with quality department, production planning, supply chain and operations to ensure that products are returned, and credit notes are obtained, and that replacement batches are received to avoid supply disruptions.
* Create reports for the CM to make decisions.
* Support CM with raw material qualifications, gathering documents and information from suppliers and working with quality, regulatory, CD&D and operations to follow up on the qualification process.
* Assist category managers with supplier relationship management topics (i.e. preparing PBRs).
* Manage selected local/regional spend.
* Support CM with creating and maintaining WAVE initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Procurement Processes and Best Practices: Understanding of the procurement cycle, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
* Contract Law and Negotiation: Familiarity with legal terms, contract formulation, and negotiation techniques.
* Market Analysis: Knowledge of market trends, supplier landscapes, and pricing strategies relevant to the industry.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, assess supplier performance, and make data-driven decisions.
* Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiating contracts and terms to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
* Relevant Work Experience: Previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields, often requiring a few years in similar roles.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Experience in managing and building relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in reviewing contracts and procurement documentation.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Candidates may also benefit from professional certification.
