An exciting role awaits with a highly reputable client seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic team immediately. In this role, you will utilise advanced accounting software such as Sage and Salesforce, ensuring that your technical skills remain cutting-edge. The diverse nature of the job guarantees that no two days are the same, keeping your work both challenging and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and trial balance.
3. Manage month-end and year-end processes.
4. Process invoices, payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
5. Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate transaction records.
6. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
8. Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and variances.
9. Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE) or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar financial role.
3. Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage 200 and Salesforce.
4. Strong Excel skills are essential.
5. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
