Offering a varied and exciting field based role, Portico GB Ltd are looking for an experienced and flexible new build window Contracts Manager to work around the East of England region covering the Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk areas.
Portico GB Ltd is a leading subcontractor to the new build industry based in Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds who supply and install windows, doors, conservatories, and sliding wardrobes.
The Role:
As the Field based Contracts Manager you will travel around the East of England visiting New Build sites to ensure our fitting teams are working efficiently, safely and completing quality work. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the window and wardrobe site installation.
A full driving licence is essential with the ability to continually travel.
Role Responsibilities of the Field Contracts Manager:
1. Complete regular site checks to confirm that sufficient up to date tools are being used
2. Ensure efficient, safe and productive installations on site
3. Deal with site requests, site surveys, attend site start up meetings, and minute and report those meetings
4. Keep up to date with all replacement parts orders
5. Liaise with our customers on site
6. Check and monitor quality of our work by way of site inspection reports on a monthly basis
7. Attend periodical management meetings with pre-prepared reports
8. Maintain a positive, polite environment on site
9. Ensure fitting teams are wearing company clothing at all working periods and are kept presentable within reason for the nature of the work
10. Ensure that productivity is maximised by way of using the resources of the business (vehicles, Labour) in the most efficient and economical manner
11. Ensure that labour is kept up to date with all Health and Safety matters, preferable with a recognised health and safety qualification
12. Work closely with installations managers in the day to day running of the installation teams
13. Assist in training fitters in key areas
14. Attend site on our fitters first visit to assist in contract start up
15. Ensure that vehicles are kept clean and tidy
Requirements for the Field Contracts Manager:
16. Full driving licence is required
17. Great people management skills
18. Experience of managing a team, preferably within a New Build, construction/installation environment
19. A strong understanding of all aspects of the contracting process
20. Knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety standards
21. Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
22. Well-organised and proactive
23. Good commercial awareness
24. Ability to maintain a professional manner when on-site or in an office environment
25. Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently
