About the Role:
CPL Healthcare is excited to be recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a brand-new Residential Children’s Home. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, providing them with the support they need to thrive and grow. The focus will be on promoting independence, choice, and ensuring positive outcomes for the children in your care.
As Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, leading a dedicated team to deliver the highest standards of care. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, managing the home’s budget, and ensuring the service is run efficiently while delivering excellent care to young people with complex behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take overall responsibility for the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young people aged 8 to 18.
* Lead, motivate, and manage a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of care are met and exceeded at all times.
* Be an advocate for the children in your care, supporting their emotional, social, and developmental needs.
* Manage the budget for the home, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet the needs of both the young people and the service.
* Monitor key performance indicators and strive for continuous improvement in quality of care and operational performance.
* Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including Children’s Homes regulations and Ofsted requirements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
* Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). If you don’t currently have this qualification, you must be willing to complete it within 6 months of starting the role.
* Experience: At least two years’ experience in residential care within the past five years, with at least one year of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
* Knowledge: A solid understanding of relevant regulations, including Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Care Standards Act 2000, and Ofsted guidelines.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership ability, with the skills to motivate, manage, and inspire a team to provide the highest standard of care.
Additional Information:
* The role is contracted to 40 hours per week. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires working across a 7-day week, including weekends, nights, and sleep-ins.
