Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.
KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
KBR are a global technical solutions provider with 28,000 employees worldwide, with operations in 34 countries delivering to customers in 80 countries. KBR work collaboratively with their wide customer base to deliver solutions that strive to create a better, safer and more sustainable world.
KBR’s Estates Intelligence division specialise in enabling clients to make informed decisions about the operational and strategic management of their estates and asset portfolios, including the external supply chain retained to deliver asset management and maintenance services. Estates Intelligence teams utilise the ‘6 As’ Methodology to deliver business benefit by deploying their ‘Viaverse’ platform to enable each A – aggregation of data, automation of transactional processing and operational data flows, assurance of process and data integrity to promote sanctity of management information, audit of processing and data to better refine business outcomes, analytics to offer management information and insight, all to enable enhanced asset management across client’s portfolio.
KBR’s latest Viaverse was deployed for the Department of Work & Pensions Estates (DWP-E) to deliver the ‘Integrator2’ platform in May 2022. This platform acts as the ‘single source of truth’ for DWP Estates teams in ensuring consistent, performant and efficient lifecycle management of assets across their public-facing and back-office sites. The platform manages real time transactional flows to DWP Estates supply chain partners and delivers reliable management information and insight to DWP Estate stakeholders.
DWP-E have embarked on a major programme of re-procurement of the asset management services delivered from the KBR ‘Integrator2’ platform – this is known as the ‘Workplace Services Programme’ or ‘WPS’. Current services have been redesigned and packaged into six new service lots (Total Facilities Management, Manned Guarding, Security Contact Centre, Fire Risk Assessment, Water Risk Assessment, Asbestos Risk Assessment), each of which will constitute a project to redesign the current platform and a scale transition of current service to new service – each project will consist of design, build, test, transition and hypercare, and is likely to include significant data transition and operational change for the client. The Programme has already been initiated, has a series of staggered operational go lives and ‘hypercare periods’, and is expected to run to a transition to BAU milestone around November 2025
Led by the senior team that mobilised the platform, KBR are constructing a multi-disciplinary technology team to deliver KBR’s critical path within the DWP WPS Programme. This is an opportunity to join a large-scale KBR EI programme delivering significant benefit to a large public sector department undertaking one of the largest current procurements in the public sector.
A critical role within this team is the CAFM Developer, who will report to the WPS Programme Solution Technical Lead
Role is for an experienced Developer responsible for designing workflows, automations and triggers within our CAFM component, internally to that component and integrated with other components in our stack. Familiarity with MRI Evolution Workflow Pro a real advantage but would also suit an experienced Developer who can evidence roles where software has been developed using a variety of languages, tested and deployed to support business and data flows.
Responsibilities
* CAFM Developer will have technical design, test, debug and promotion responsibility for all CAFM workflow and data integration across the Programme, which is forecast to be in the TFM, Managed Guarding and SCC workstreams.
* Working with the Solution Technical Lead, CAFM Developer will be directly responsible for inputting into all temporary and enduring technical documentation required to develop, test and handover technical deliverables to BAU support; CAFM Developer may be required to contribute toward more detailed solution designs for the wider platform.
* CAFM Developer will be required to work alongside BAs in the programme team to understand inbound/outbound process and data flows resulting from detailed business requirements and functional designs and develop these into system driven automation
* CAFM Developer will be required to work alongside Test Managers in the programme to ensure any testing of the CAFM development meets the testing strategy and acceptance criteria for promotion to live environment.
* CAFM Developer will be required to work closely with Programme Technical Project manager and Project Coordinator to ensure development critical path is reasonable, deconflicted and achievable, task progress is reported to meet reporting timeframes, and advise where there is actual over/under-utilisation on tasks so action can be taken to mitigate.
