The working pattern is 3 days (8.30/9.00 - 4.30/5.00) within Monday to Friday; there is some room for flexibility to agree on the working days, but this must include a Monday. The days do not need to be consecutive.

An opportunity has arisen for a Dietetic Support Worker to support the Medical Dietetic Team, based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in nutrition. The successful applicant will work as part of the medical team supporting a clinical caseload at QEUH and other sites. The post holder will work in partnership with dietitians in undertaking tasks that will encourage and assist patients, who are acutely ill, to meet individual nutritional needs. The post holder will work with dietitians to support and contribute to the delivery of patient care.
The post holder will also support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of nutritional care goals. The service is paper-light, and all records and processes are electronic. IT competence and the ability to work between IT packages is essential. Communication is a core skill for this post; you should be confident in your ability and enjoy communicating with both staff and patients. This post is governed by the Health Care Support Workers Code of Conduct.
