Reporting to the Supply Chain and Operations teams, you’ll take ownership of purchasing all raw materials for both the Sheffield HQ and a brand-new European facility set to open in 2025. With an annual spend of £15m (expected to double over the next five years), this role is central to the company’s growth strategy. Key responsibilities include: Raising and managing purchase orders to maintain stock levels and meet production demands. Supporting the scheduling of receipts in line with the production schedule. Maintaining a robust secondary supply and supply security policy with the Supply Chain Team. Leading price negotiations and setting supplier performance standards. Building and managing long-term supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply. Identifying risks in the supply chain and developing contingency plans. Conducting market analysis and developing sourcing strategies. Ensuring supplier compliance with ethical, environmental, and legal standards through assessments and audits. Driving cost savings while maximising procurement value. Who you are: You’re an experienced purchasing professional with a passion for optimising supply chain processes and forging strong supplier partnerships. To thrive in this role, you’ll need: A proven background in supply chain, purchasing, or a similar role. Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and reliable supply. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Advanced data analysis skills to monitor trends and supplier performance. Strategic thinking to align procurement activities with business objectives. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for managing supplier relationships. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
