Mission
We’re looking for a Junior Helpdesk Analyst local to Chorley with a keen aptitude for troubleshooting and customer service to join our Lancashire based technology team. This is an entry level position that focuses on providing technical support to customers using our helpdesk ticketing tool and resolving or escalating issues where needed.
This is offered on a hybrid basis, 2 days Chorley office, 3 days home

Day to day duties will include:
Technical support
1. Assist users with basic to intermediate technical issues
2. Resolve common issues: Handle routine issues such as:Transferring clients to appropriate teamsPassword resets and other log in issuesDocument tracking or resendingBasic client training on application-based processes (How to resend
3. Escalate complex problems: Identify when issues need to be escalated to more senior technicians or specialized teams, and pass the correct information in a timely manner
4. Troubleshooting: Diagnose problems by gathering information from users, replicating the issue, and attempting to resolve it through documented solutions or guides.
5. Ensure that unresolved issues are properly tracked and followed up on, maintaining good communication with users regarding progress
6. Continuous efforts to improve stored documentation by suggesting changes, or drafting new documents
Application monitoring and maintenance
7. Monitor application performance to identify potential problems before they escalate.
8. Help with the installation of software updates
Issue logging
9. Use a ticketing system to document all technical issues reported by users, ensuring accurate records of the problem, actions taken, and final resolutions
Customer Service and Communication
10. Respond promptly to queries: Address customer concerns via email and phone, maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude
11. Educate users: Assist users in understanding how to avoid future problems by providing guidance and education on using systems properly.

Profile
What we're looking for?
12. 1 year + experience in Application/Tech support or other Customer Service support role
13. Great customer skills and good all round IT troubleshooting skills.
14. Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
15. Confident, friendly and outgoing, always happy to role your sleeves up and go the extra mile with a “can do” attitude.
16. A passion for understanding technology, quickly exploring and learning about new technologies.
17. A strong analytical, problem solving mind-set, quickly able to isolate root cause of an issue and provide a practical solution.

Located near the town centre in Leyland, it’s a modern mostly open plan office space with parking opposite. It’s a bright, light space with a great break out area by the (well stocked) kitchen for relaxing with table tennis, a pool table, Sky TV and an Xbox games console.It's a calm, friendly and professional environment, with a casual dress code. Leyland is famous as once being the home of one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the UK; British Leyland – probably best known for their trucks and buses. There are several retail parks and leisure centres, the town centre also has a thriving market along with a mix of independent and well known chain stores. Leyland has great access to road links to Preston, Blackpool and Chorley, as well as the M6 and M58 if heading to Manchester, Liverpool or north towards Lancaster and The Lakes.
