The role We are looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our Reactive Repairs team here at Southern Housing on a permanent full-time basis The Role The primary function of the Maintenance Surveyor role is to provide a responsive repair service for Southern Housing. You will also ensure that all Southern Housing owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met and ensure staff, residents, leaseholders, managing agencies and property owners are provided with a high standard of service. The role is to be based at our Grosvenor House office in Croydon, with regular visits to sites and the ability to work from home, as agreed with your line manager. What you'll need Must have a surveying qualification with experience of working in the maintenance field or extensive experience in a building trade with at least one trade qualification. Must have own transport for which business insurance will be required. Good knowledge of roofing, damp, structural issues and general building knowledge across all trades. Experience of dealing with and managing contactors and staff to ensure repairs are completed in a good timeline. Ability to use the appropriate IT tools to produce reports, documents, emails, including using Excel and Word to compile reports for different audiences In your supporting statement, it is important that you address how you meet each of the above criteria providing real examples."
