SGEC seeks a competent and professional Retrofit Assessor, based in Shropshire but working nationwide. Our team of skilled assessors has a reputation for rigorous data collection, analysis, and advanced report writing.
Duties:
* Undertake on-site energy assessment and retrofit assessment surveys as required.
* Produce energy performance reports and energy performance certificates.
* Make recommendations based on assessment findings, liaising with Retrofit Coordinators and Designers.
* Undertake retrofit assessments in accordance with PAS 2035.
* Provide specialist advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to householders by phone, email, and face-to-face.
* Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the team.
* Provide administrative support to the delivery of projects.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions with clients.
* Follow internal processes and help develop new processes and internal working procedures.
Requirements, Skills & Experience:
* Accreditation as a Domestic Energy Assessor.
* Accreditation as a Retrofit Assessor.
* Experience with retrofit in the domestic sector.
* Technically minded with good attention to detail.
* Good knowledge of building physics, especially in relation to insulation, air tightness, ventilation, and moisture risk management.
* Self-organised with good time management and strong IT skills.
* Customer-focused with excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Competent in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Desired Skills & Experience:
* Building industry experience.
* Existing knowledge of building services systems, especially heat pumps and solar technologies.
Normal hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, 45 minutes for lunch, and 20 days annual holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
Immediate start with a three-month probation period.
