Estuary Housing Association has an excellent new opportunity for an Income Officer to join our busy Housing & Communities department.
The Role:
You will be working within a busy customer-facing income team. Our Income Officers are responsible for monitoring both current and former tenant arrears for our general needs rented homes managing approximately 600 accounts. You will offer budgeting and welfare benefits advice to customers in order that residents can meet their commitment to pay their rent and service charge. You need the ability to visit residents in their homes and will be required to represent the Association at court hearings and evictions.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude and previous experience of working in a busy, customer-facing environment. They will also need to demonstrate our core values of Respect, One Estuary, Accountable and Responsible.
They will need to have access to a vehicle with the ability to travel throughout the region.
Training will be given however the following skills and experience are desirable:
• Experience of debt recovery, especially within Social Housing
• Knowledge of the legal remedies available to recover debts.
• Knowledge of welfare reform and welfare benefits
