Job Description Planner Full Time Derby What you will be doing: Compression Systems, Planning & Control have a n exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our Operations team in Derby. As a Planner you will play a critical part in ensuring that Compression Systems future demand is supported with robust and balanced Load & Capacity plans across our Operational facilities and our Suppliers In addition, you will plan the level of inventory required to support this future demand and ensure that future risks to Load & Capacity and Inventory are identified and resolved at the right horizon so that the Delivery, Quality and Cost commitments are met. You will also be responsible for conducting various planning scenarios simultaneously to support potential future strategic and investment decisions. Compression Systems conduct the manufacture and supply of critical parts including Blisks, Discs, Drums and Shafts for the Fan, Compressor and Turbine modules in many Civil, Defence and Marine engines. Compression Systems have operational facilities in Oberursel (Germany), Derby, Annesley, Barnoldswick, Inchinnan and Washington (UK). Your role will be based in one of the Derby sites with some potential opportunity for hybrid working. Responsibilities: In this role y ou will be managing the executive system (SAP) to ensure the executive planning system reflects the latest business plan and working with Production and Order Controllers, in addition you will: Supporting the Sales & Operations Planning cycle for an entire Commodity, Facility or Supply Chain - Ensuring our (Internal and External) Supply Chain can support our customers latest requirements through ongoing planning evaluation and assessment. Planning Scenarios - Working within a cross-functional team (Finance, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing) to create planning scenarios of how our supply chains are affected by our evolving internal or external strategies, these may include changes in a Make/ Buy strategy new technology introduction. Inventory & ERP Governance - Managing the supply plan to optimise and improve inventory levels, stock turns and general Inventory health whilst balancing customer delivery protection with financial impact. Experience of working within Planning & Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or Logistics with APICS or equivalent qualifications. Experience in SAP or an equivalent ERP Planning System and highly confident in data analysis. Someone who owns the Business plan and feels the accountability to do so Passionate about Planning with a proven track record of Load & Capacity planning and Inventory management. Skilled in using problem solving techniques to identify risks and putting the necessary corrective actions in place using a cross function team solution. Someone who is comfortable working both alone, with a high level of detail, but also works well as part of a team to improve overall business performance.
