Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing production plans, coordinating materials and resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of products while maintaining high quality standards. As a Production Planner, you will collaborate closely with various teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and engineering, to optimize efficiency and achieve production goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Operational Planning:
1. Collaborate with the production team to develop and maintain production schedules and plans.
2. Analyze and forecast demand for materials and components based on production requirements.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
4. Identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks or delays in the supply chain.
2. Inventory Management:
1. Optimize inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimizing holding costs.
2. Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and take appropriate action.
3. Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure accurate stock counts and resolve any discrepancies.
4. Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
3. Continuous Improvement:
1. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to procurement and supply chain efficiency.
2. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the procurement and planning functions.
3. Implement best practices and suggest system enhancements to improve overall operational efficiency.
4. Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies relevant to procurement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Experience in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a planner or buyer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical assembly.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to forecast demand and identify supply chain issues.
4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
5. Proficient in using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
8. Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and inventory control principles.
