Insight Investment is looking for a Guideline Drafting Analyst to join the Guideline Management team in London. In this role, the Guideline Drafting Analyst will be responsible for drafting and reviewing investment guidelines, covering the Fixed Income Group, Financial Solutions Group, Multi Asset Group and Currency Solutions business. Key objectives of the role are to ensure the guidelines accurately reflect the client’s intent and strategy, investment restrictions are codable into internal systems and guidelines are operationally viable and in line with Insight’s key principles.
Role Responsibilities
* Draft and/or review investment guidelines prior to execution, to ensure the client’s intent and strategy has been accurately captured in the guidelines
* Ensuring guidelines are in line with Insight’s standard templates and key principle and that implementation frameworks and investment risk limits are operationally supportable and non-ambiguous
* Engage with the Client Solutions Group and Fund Managers throughout the guideline review process
* Attend guideline execution meetings with the Client Solutions Group, Fund Managers, and other teams. Collaborate with the attendees to ensure guidelines are ready for execution
* Where client needs demand unsupportable processes, work to offer standard alternatives
* Proactively adapt existing Fixed Income and LDI guideline templates in line with the changing business environment
* Draft new templates where required
* Play an integral role in the relevant guideline committee meeting
* Involvement with wider Guideline Management initiatives and projects
Experience Required
* Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related subjects or equivalent industry experience
* Excellent written language skills
* Completed or looking to complete IMC and/or CFA
* Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel
* Knowledge of derivatives, fixed income instruments and associated strategies
* Proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic individual
* Willingness to challenge colleagues’ proposals and suggest improvements in a constructive manner
* Confidence to engage with a variety of people from around the business, including client directors, fund managers, solution designers, dealers, client services
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a time-pressured environment and handle multiple ongoing tasks
* Keen to work in a mainly qualitative manner but with ability to work in a quantitative manner when required
* Ability to work independently
