We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
* Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
* Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising staff.
* Engage clients in recreational activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care role is desirable, particularly in home care, childcare, or nursing homes.
* Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial to ensure client safety.
* Familiarity with patient care protocols, including meal preparation and medication administration, is an advantage.
* A compassionate nature with strong communication skills is essential for building rapport with clients and their families.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations.
